Anybody interested in forex trading should take a look at this video. In the video he mentions a forex trading site... which in my opinion is the best site for currency trading. Have a look and you'll see what I mean --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tpqmko154O4

I have had a Dawes which I think is a 1961 Lightning ,for the last 30 years, it has been knocked about a bit and has done a lot of miles with my grandson on a cross bar seat, he is now 12 and 5'9" though. The wheels themselves are probably worth more than the bike but I have ridden more modern bikes and they feel numb in comparison. The old Dawes frame feels alive and flexes and absorbs bumps and it just glides along. Is it just me or are modern bikes not as good as what I have and love.......I would be a grumpy old man but my bike always counteracts it by putting a smile on my face.

I still have the 1970 Dawes Galaxy that my dad bought me when I was a teenager. I rode that bike until I bought a Trek carbon in '98 or '99, and still ride it occasionally to remember what a "real" bike feels like.

A minor inaccuracy in your very nice article: My Dawes did in fact come with a Brooks saddle, I think a B-17.

Interested in early 1960's Dawes catalogues or other information. I have what I beleive is a 1961 Dawes racer. GB stem and bars, Williams steel crankset, 1/2 fenders. Hoping to confirm the brand of hubs. Current has Millard - was thinking Raclite or other Brtish brand might be original...thank you for any help / insights. Phil Stevens
